Final Results of the U.S. Women's Open Sectional Qualifying
Sanford, NC – Final results of the U.S. Women’s Open Championship Sectional Qualifying hosted by Carolina Trace Country Club (Lake) in Sanford, NC on Thursday, May 29, 2014. Par 36-36—72 6493 yards (77.6/140).
Four players punched their ticket to the U.S. Women’s Open Championship that will be held in nearby Pinehurst, NC at the Pinehurst Resort and Country Club on June 19-22, 2014.
After surviving 36 holes in what some call the “longest day in golf” Stacey Keating of Australia took medalist honors after shooting a second round of 5-under par 67—140. Other qualifiers include first time qualifier Marta Silva of Spain, Weiling Hsu of Chinese Taipei and low amateur Ally McDonald of Fulton, MS who earned her spot after making a birdie on the first playoff hole against Rebecca Artis of Australia.
