41st SC Amateur Match Play Round of 32 & Round of 16 Results

CLINTON, SC – Rounds of 32 and 16 match play results of the 41^st South Carolina Amateur Match Play Championship of the Carolinas Golf Association hosted by Musgrove Mill Golf Club in Clinton, SC on Friday, June 14, 2013 (6788 yards, par 36-36—72, 74.4/147).

It was a morning of upsets as the defending champion, and number 1 seed, Matthew Laydon was defeated by Chris Mitchell in the Round of 32.  Stroke play qualifying medalist, and number 2 seed, Walter Todd, Sr. was defeated by Josh O’Neal in the same round.  2011 SC Amateur Match Play runner-up Adam Goins won both of his matches to get back into the quarterfinals. 

The longest match of the day went to 23 holes as Brad Thorne finally got the best of Johnson Holliday on the 23^rd hole in the Round of 32.  2 additional matches went to extra holes with both ending on the 19^th hole.
