Preview: 10th Carolinas Super Senior Four-Ball Championship

 

SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. (October 4, 2021) -- The Carolinas Golf Association will conduct the 10th Carolinas Super Senior Four-Ball Championship at Forest Oaks Country Club in Greensboro, N.C. from October 5-6, 2021. The 65 and over Division will compete at 6,235 yards (par 36-36--72), while the 70 and over Division will compete at 5,778 yards (par 36-36--72).

Forest Oaks Country Club opened in 1962 as an Ellis Maples design. The club played host to the Greater Greensboro Open from 1977 until 2007 and was rated by PGA Tour Members as a favorite stop on the PGA Tour. Davis Love III restored the course in 2002, returning Forest Oaks to glory. 

 

The championship format is 36 holes of four-ball stroke play. Gross scores only. A tie for the overall championship is decided by an on-course playoff.

About the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA)

 

The CGA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization that was founded in 1909 to promote and to protect the game of golf in the Carolinas by providing competitions, education, support and benefits to golf clubs and golfers.
