GREENSBORO, NC (March 29, 2017) – First round results of the 1st North Carolina Super Senior Four-Ball Championship at The Farm Course at Greensboro Country Club in Greensboro, NC on Wednesday, March 29, 2017.

Three teams sit atop the Championship Flight 1st Annual North Carolina Super Senior Four-Ball Championship after round one. Partners Dick Hogan of Burlington, NC – Mark Wagner of Statesville, NC join Butch English of Cornelius, NC – Wayne Pyrtle of Burlington, NC, and Russ Perry from Winston-Salem, NC – Mark Stephens from Troutman, NC all shot six-under par 66. A host of other teams sit one shot back and 15 teams are within three shots of the lead. In the 70+ Flight, Steve Spiegler of Charlotte, NC – Dave Moser, Charlotte, NC lead by two shots after shooting a seven-under par 67.
The final round is set for an 8:30am double tee start Thursday morning will leaders of both flights teeing off at 10:50am.
Entry is open to any male amateur golfer who has reached his 65th birthday by March 29, 2017 and is a legal resident of North Carolina, is a member in good standing of a club which is a member of the Carolinas Golf Association and has an active USGA Handicap Index® at a CGA member club.
