U.S. Girls' Junior Qualifying Results
from Colonial Country Club in Thomasville, N.C.

THOMASVILLE, N.C. (June 19, 2018) -- Final results from U.S. Girls' Junior Qualifying at Colonial Country Club in Thomasville, N.C. on June 19, 2018 (6020 yards, par 36-35--71, Course/Slope rating: 74.6/133).

Haeley Wotnosky of Wake Forest, N.C. and Nicole Adam of Pinehurst, N.C. each fired a 1-under-par 70 and took home co-medalist honors at the U.S. Girls' Junior Qualifier at Colonial Country Club. Wotnosky is a rising freshman at the University of Virginia and Nicole Adam is 2020 University of North Carolina Chapel Hill commit. Katherine Schuster of Kill Devil Hills, N.C. finished at even-par 71 to claim the third qualifying spot and Amanda Sambach of Davidson, N.C. finished at 1-over-par 72 to punch the final ticket to the U.S. Girls' Junior Championship.

Riley Hamilton of Reidsville, N.C. is the first alternate. Daniela Ballesteros of Peru is the second alternate.

Four qualifying spots and two alternate positions were available at this qualifying site.

Sectional qualifying is conducted over 18 holes at 40 locations around the country. The championship proper will be held at Poppy Hills Golf Club in Pebble Beach, Calif. on July 16-21, 2018.

This qualifier was conducted by the Carolinas Golf Association on behalf of the United States Golf Association.

About the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA)

The CGA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization that was founded in 1909 to promote and to protect the game of golf in the Carolinas by providing competitions, education, support and benefits to golf clubs and golfers. The CGA is the second largest golf association in the country with over 700 member clubs represented by nearly 150,000 individuals.
