CHARLOTTE, N.C. (June 19, 2017) -- Final results from U.S. Girls' Junior Qualifying at Raintree Country Club's North Course in Charlotte, N.C. on June 19, 2017 (6162 yards, par 36-36--72, Course/Slope rating: 76.7/136).
Lucy Li of Redwood Shores, California earned medalist honors after posting a stellar round of four-under-par 68. Yu-Sang Hou of Taipei carded a two-under-par 70 to take the second qualifying spot and Karla Elena Vazquez Setzer of Villahermosa finished with one-under-par 71 for the third qualifying spot. North Carolinians Jennifer Chang and Amanda Sambach each carded rounds of even-par 72 and faced a playoff for the final qualifying spot. On the second time playing the Par-3 ninth hole, Chang stuck her tee shot to 3 feet and sunk the birdie putt to advance to the U.S. Girls' Junior Championship.
Amanda Sambach of Davison, N.C. is the first alternate. Hailey Joy of Reidsville, N.C. is the second alternate.
Four qualifying spots and two alternate positions were available at this qualifying site.
Qualifying is conducted over 18 holes at 39 locations around the United States. The championship proper will be held at Boone Vallye Golf Club in August, M.O. on July 24-29, 2017.
This qualifier was conducted by the Carolinas Golf Association on behalf of the United States Golf Association.

About the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA)
The CGA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization that was founded in 1909 to promote and to protect the game of golf in the Carolinas by providing competitions, education, support and benefits to golf clubs and golfers. The CGA is the second largest golf association in the country with over 700 member clubs represented by nearly 150,000 individuals.
