Champions in Field to Defend Carolinas Net Amateur Titles
SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. – A full field of 119 players are registered for the 4th Carolinas Net Amateur Championship to be held at Pinehurst Resort & Country Club (No. 3) on November 22-23. Overall champions will be crowned in six divisions (Men, Women, Senior Men, Senior Women, Super Senior Men, and Super Senior Women).
Some of last year’s winners -- Men’s Champion - Brandon Britt of Benson, N.C.; Senior Men’s Champion - Jim Steed of Sunset Beach, N.C.; and Senior Women’s Co-Champions - Linda Boland of Summerville, S.C. -- return to defend their titles.
Pinehurst No. 3, hole #8
This is the tenth CGA major hosted by Pinehurst (No. 3). The classic 1910 Donald Ross design is the shortest course at Pinehurst Resort. However tiny elevated greens, averaging just 4,500 square feet each, demand precision approach shots.
This year’s Championship is being co-conducted by the Carolinas Golf Association, South Carolina Golf Association and the Women's South Carolina Golf Association for the first time ever.
