Myrtle Beach, SC – First round results of the 8th Carolinas Mixed Team Championship hosted by Myrtlewood Golf Club, PineHills course, on Saturday, August 31, 2013. 

Anthony and Debbie Adams of Asheville, NC are currently on their way to capture their 7th CGA Mixed Team title.  The Adams’ duo carded five birdies for the day.  Only two shots back are Shawn and Lea Venable of Simpsonville, SC and Chad and Kadi Meldrum of Aiken, SC.  Teams in the championship division are competing for the overall championship title.

WEST END, N.C. – Debbie and Anthony Adams have dominated the CGA Mixed Team Championship, taking six of the first seven titles. The eighth championship is set of August 31-September 1 at the PineHills Course of Myrtlewood Golf Club in Myrtle Beach. The only year they missed the title was in 2011.

Charlotte, NC – Final results of U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship Sectional Qualifying hosted by Pine Island Country Club on Wednesday, August 28, 2013.  Par 35-37 – 72  6049 yards  Course/Slope Rating:  73.8/135.

Kristina Blaylock of Cary, NC shot a 4-under par round of to earn medalist honors and one of seven available spots to advance to the U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship that will be held October 5-10, 2013 at Biltmore Forest Country Club in nearby Asheville, NC.

The CGA only needs 11 more applications to reach the 300 milestone in order to kick off the program and allow the N.C. Department of Motor Vehicles to start issuing the plates.

In order to help reach the goal, we are offering FREE CGA license plates for the first year. All you have to do is fill out the form (link below) and fax, email or US mail the form back to me at the CGA office.

Championship will be played August 31-September 1 at Myrtlewood Golf Club (PineHills course) in Myrtle Beach, SC. Entry fee is $220.00 which includes cart & range fees for each team, tournament prizes and final round lunch.
