WEST END, NC -- The Carolinas Golf Association's 20th North Carolina Mid-Amateur Championship will be played at Wilmington’s Porters Neck Country Club on September 6-8.

The championship is comprised of 54-holes of stroke play. After 36 holes, the field is cut to the low 60 scores and ties for the final round.

Pine Brook Country Club of Winston-Salem, NC and Chapel Hill Country Club of Chapel Hill, NC will kick-off the playoffs with a play-in match.

WEST END, N.C. – Debbie and Anthony Adams have dominated the CGA Mixed Team Championship, taking six of the first seven titles. The eighth championship is set of August 31-September 1 at the PineHills Course of Myrtlewood Golf Club in Myrtle Beach. The only year they missed the title was in 2011.

The CGA only needs 11 more applications to reach the 300 milestone in order to kick off the program and allow the N.C. Department of Motor Vehicles to start issuing the plates.

In order to help reach the goal, we are offering FREE CGA license plates for the first year. All you have to do is fill out the form (link below) and fax, email or US mail the form back to me at the CGA office.
