SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. -- For the past fifteen years, Carolinas women age 50 and over have been competing in the Carolinas Women’s Senior Amateur Championship. In nearly half those contests, the same woman, Patty Moore, 64, of Charlotte, N.C. was crowned champion. On the Lakes-Foothills routing of Governors Club in Chapel Hill, N.C., Moore will look for her 8th event win and 17th overall CGA title.

SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. – The 19th North Carolina Four-Ball Championship will be played on the Lakes course at North Ridge Country Club in Raleigh from October 3-5. The 6,880 yard par 72 layout was designed by Gene Hamm and George Cobb, then later redesigned by John LaFoy to assure challenge and playability for players of all skill levels. The club has held two previous CGA championships; the 1997 Carolinas Mid-Amateur and the 2011 N.C. WEST END, N.C. -- The 7th North Carolina Super Senior Amateur Championship will be played at Cape Fear Country Club in Wilmington from September 29-30. Opened in 1896, the club is the oldest private country club in the state and has longtime ties with the Carolinas Golf Association.
