Six Champions Crowned at Carolinas Net Amateur

LOCATION – North Myrtle Beach, S.C.

 

Congratulations to our six champions crowned today at the 14th Carolinas Net Amateur Championship at Barefoot Resort (Fazio) in North Myrtle Beach, S.C. This event is played at 36 holes of individual stroke play using 100% of a player’s Course Handicap to determine Net Scores.

 

Women’s Division

Samantha DeBusk of Lexington, N.C. took home the win for the Women’s Division, finishing at 2-under for the tournament and winning by an impressive 12 strokes. DeBusk carded a 72-68 to finish at a two-day net total of 140. 

 

Two-time past champion Jessica Martinho-Stansbury of Raleigh, N.C. finished in second place at 10-over.

 

 

Men’s Division

Shawn Whitmore of Myrtle Beach, S.C. claimed the Men’s Division by four strokes at 2-under. He recorded scores of 70-70 to finish at 2-under for the tournament. Miguel Dizon of Cary, N.C. took second place at 2-over. 

 

 

Senior Women’s Division

Kristin Raciti of Pawleys Island, S.C. took home the win for the Senior Women’s Division. Raciti carded a 76 in Round 1 and an impressive 68 in the Final Round to finish at the top of the leaderboard at 144, 2-over.

 

Jamie Fisher of North Myrtle Beach, S.C. finished in second place at 8-over. 

 

 

Senior Men’s Division

Mark DeBusk of Lexington, N.C. claimed the Senior Men’s Division (Flight 1) by four strokes. DeBusk shot two consistent rounds of 69-69 to finish at a total net score of 138, 4-under. Joe Raciti of Pawleys Island, S.C. finished in second place at even-par. 

 

Andy Dumont of Johns Island, S.C. won the Senior Men’s Division (Flight 2) with scores of 81-74, 13-over. 

 

 

Super Senior Women’s Division

Bonnie Montgomery of Jamestown, N.C. recorded rounds of 72-68 to finish at 2-under for the tournament, winning the Super Senior Women’s Division by 17 strokes. Debra Partridge of Conway, S.C. finished in second place at 15-over.

 

 

Super Senior Men’s Division

Stephen Nimocks of Murrells Inlet, S.C. won the Super Senior Men’s Division (Flight 1) by one stroke. Nimocks carded a 69-73 to finish at a two-day net total of 142, even-par. Bob Singletary of Raleigh, N.C. finished in second place at 1-over. 

 

In the Super Senior Men’s Division, Flight 2, Chris Sauer of Monroe, N.C. took first place with rounds of 78-68 to finish at 4-over. For Flight 3, Mark Sigl of Longs, S.C. took home the win at 12-over.
