Trey Adamek
Operations Intern
My name is Trey Adamek, and I am a senior at Clemson University finishing up my last semester as an Economics major. I am from Fort Mill, SC where my passion for golf began when I worked at my local country club as a cart boy and later became a greenskeeper. Golf has been the center of my life ever since I started high school and I strive to continue moving up in the industry. My Dad has been in the golf industry his entire life and after getting to work with him a couple of times, I knew that I wanted to pursue a career in golf. In my free time I enjoy playing/watching golf, working out, cooking, and traveling.
Isabel Amezcua
Operations Intern
My name is Isabel Amezcua and I just graduated from NC State. I was born in Wisconsin but grew up in Mexico City. I have played competitive golf for 17 years and was on the women’s golf team at NC State. I got into golf from my parents and instantly fell in love with the game. I enjoy doing any activity that involves being outside.
Sarah Dawkins
Operations Intern
My name is Sarah Dawkins and I am a rising senior at Elon University. I’m originally from Raleigh, North Carolina. I am a double major in sport management and economics, and I spend a lot of my time on campus working on my undergraduate research project studying the economic impact of college sporting events. I found my passion for operations at my internship with the Atlantic Coast Conference last year. While I only began golfing a few years ago, it is now one of my favorite hobbies, along with going on walks, traveling, watching college sports, and spending time with my family and friends.
Henry Husnik
Communications Intern
My name is Henry, and I am from Lake Elmo, Minnesota. I currently attend Elon University, where I am studying Strategic Communications with minors in Sociology and Professional Writing. Recently, I studied abroad in Spain, attending a university in Bilbao, where I practiced Spanish and International Relations. Growing up, I was always incredibly passionate about sports, playing hockey, soccer, baseball, and alpine skiing. Eventually, I discovered that I had a talent for golf, and I eventually became obsessed with it. After being cut from my school's golf team during my first year of trying out, I didn't quit, and I eventually became the captain of that team. I love golf because it pushes me to be a better athlete and version of myself. I have already worked in the golf industry for three years, and I look forward to connecting with people who share my passion for the sport, as these connections are ones that I will deeply value.
Bryce Mandala
Communications Intern
I’ve resided in the northwest suburbs of Chicago since birth and developed an early interest in sports. I was a three-sport athlete in high school, competing in golf, basketball, and baseball at the varsity level. I was fortunate enough to continue my baseball career at the collegiate level at Harper College as well. After my playing career had concluded, I decided that I’d strive for a career in the sports media field. I'm currently a junior at the University of Georgia where I’m studying Sport Management at the Mary Frances Early College of Education, along with Sports Media at the John Huland Carmical Sports Media Institute. I have worked in numerous areas of the sport industry including as an assistant baseball coach for the Illinois Indians organization, a public address announcer for North Oconee varsity baseball, a premium seating ambassador for the University of Georgia Athletic Association, and a social media manager for North Oconee varsity soccer. I'm also the host of a sports talk show on WUOG 90.5 FM, a reporter for Hightop Sports Georgia, and a member of Sports Business Club.
What I love most about golf is that it's a sport that you can excel at practically any point in your life. It's the perfect middle-ground of hanging out with your friends, being competitive, and feeling peaceful. I love traveling and exploring new courses as well.
Nick Odell
Operations Intern
My name is Nick Odell. I am from a small town by the name of Cornwall, which is right outside of The West Point Military Academy. I grew up living on the old Storm King Golf Club, where just about every one of my family and friends were members. I have always been around the game of golf since I was born, but fell in love with it about 3-4 years ago. With playing golf every chance I could, I started working with a superintendent across my street to get some experience working maintenance in golf. I got a job at school as a bag boy, and also assisted in their weekend tournament set up for members. I will be finishing up my bachelors in Sports Management after this semester. In my free time, I golf as much as possible, play basketball, try to go out and try new things and see new places, as well as meeting new people and socializing with others.
Logan Seliga
Operations Intern
My name is Logan Seliga and I’m from Belle Vernon, PA. I’ve played many sports over my life like baseball, football, soccer, and wrestling, but I have only played golf recreationally. I am currently a wrestler at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke where I have been ranked as high as #1 in the country. I am also the president of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) where I am the voice of over 250 student athletes. I started playing golf about 8 years ago and fell in love with it. I love how everything is on you out there and there is no team to rely on or blame.
Amanda Vogt
Communications Intern
Golf is the sport that I have gravitated to the most since I first touched a club. My grandfather taught me the game when I was much younger, but I didn’t take it seriously until I joined my high school golf team. I became obsessed in every way possible and couldn’t get enough from playing and watching it at any chance I could. I got a job at Preakness Valley Golf Course as a pro shop cashier before becoming the Assistant Tournament Director this past summer. Every part of the game, setting up for tournaments, playing, watching the coverage, and reporting it live brings me so much joy and purpose. While I stopped playing golf competitively, my aspirations to work in golf keep me connected to the sport that always let me be myself --- no matter how difficult it can get.
As a suffering Jets fan from northern New Jersey, I grew up always watching sports with my family. I knew I had to go to a sports school so Penn State was an easy decision. I'm majoring in broadcast journalism with minors in sports studies and digital media trends and analytics. This past fall, I covered Penn State football as an insider for Comm Radio - our student media radio station. The experiences that I've had made me love covering so many different sports and games that much more.
