US Women's Mid-Amateur Q Results-Pinewood
Asheboro, N.C. (August 29, 2021) -- Final results from U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Qualifying at Pinewood Country Club in Asheboro, N.C. on Sunday, August 29, 2021 (5,758 yards, par 36-36--72).
Six qualifying spots and two alternate positions were available at this qualifying site.
Ann Marie Costello of Longs, S.C, Mariah Hopkins of Danville, V.A. and Samantha Perrotta of Bordentown, N.J. each shot 2-over-par 74 to earn medalist’s honors. Courtney Stiles of Pinehurst, N.C. finished with a 3-over-par, 75 to earn her ticket. Jessica Younts of Greensboro, N.C. earned the fifth spot with a 76. The final spot was earned by Katie Kirk of Charlotte, N.C. after a birdie on the first playoff hole. Caroline Ellington of Raleigh, N.C. earned the first alternate position. Katie-Rose Higgins of Charlotte, N.C. will be the second alternate.
The qualifiers will advance to play at the championship at the Berkeley Hall in Bluffton, South Carolina from September 25-30, 2021.
