Preview: 72nd Carolinas Junior Boys' Championship

 

SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. (July 26, 2021) -- The Carolinas Golf Association will conduct the 72nd Carolinas Junior Boys’ Championship at Treyburn Country Club, in Durham, N.C. from July 27-29, 2021. The field will compete at 7,126 yards (36-36--72).

Treyburn Country Club boasts a championship Tom Fazio design in the scenic rolling hills of Durham, North Carolina. Playing at a par of 72 Treyburn gives golfers of all levels options to score. Established in 1988 Tryeburn’s original Fazio design allows golfers the ability to play some of the best championship golf you may find in the Triangle. 

 

The Carolinas Junior Boys' Championship crowns the best junior boys golfer in North and South Carolina. The championship format is stroke play, contested over 54 holes with a cut to the top 60 and ties after 36 holes. Entry is open to any male amateur golfer ages 18 and under as of July 30, who has not started college, is a legal resident of North or South Carolina, is a member in good standing of a club which is a member of the Carolinas Golf Association and has a current USGA Handicap Index® that does not exceed 18.3.

About the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA)

 

The CGA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization that was founded in 1909 to promote and to protect the game of golf in the Carolinas by providing competitions, education, support and benefits to golf clubs and golfers.
