Preview: N.C. Junior Boys' 14 and Under

 

SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. (July 5, 2021) -- The Carolinas Golf Association will conduct the 24th N.C. Junior Boys’ 14 and Under  Championship at Asheboro City Golf Course in Asheboro, N.C. from July 6-7, 2021. The field will compete from a mix of the blue and red tees that play 5,898 yards, par 70.

Asheboro City Golf Course is a public nine hole course designed by the famed architect Donald Ross in 1935. The championship format is 36 holes of stroke play. Entry is open to any male amateur golfer who is 14 years of age or younger as of July 7, 2021 is a legal resident of North Carolina and who has a current USGA handicap at a CGA member club.

Tuesday, July 6

Round 1 - Starting times from 7:30 am - 9:15 am and 12:00 pm - 1:45 pm

 

Wednesday, July 7

Final Round - Starting times from 7:30 am - 9:15 am and 12:00 pm - 1:45 pm

 

About the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA)

The CGA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization that was founded in 1909 to promote and to protect the game of golf in the Carolinas by providing competitions, education, support and benefits to golf clubs and golfers. The CGA is the second largest golf association in the country with over 700 member clubs represented by nearly 150,000 individuals.

The CGF has distributed nearly $2,000,000 since 1977 to benefit Carolinas' golf initiatives including junior and women's programs.
