Semifinals Set at Carolinas Four-Ball
Camden, S.C. (May 4, 2019) -- Round of 16 and quarter final results of the 68th Carolinas Four-Ball Championship at Camden Country Club in Camden, S.C. on Sunday, May 5, 2019.

The morning Round of 16 at the Carolinas Four-Ball Championship saw only one upset, as No. 11 seed Thomas Todd and James Lightsey took down the six seed, C.J. Deberg and Kyle Davis 1 up. Todd and Lightsey continued their stellar play advancing after 20 holes in the Quarterfinals over No. 3 seed, Rick Milligan and Shaun Fettes. The duo will face the seven seed John Asay and Rob Butler. Asay and Butler took down the no. two seed, Dean Preston-Bobby Dean in the Quarterfinals by a score of 3 and 2. Asay and Butler are looking for redemption after losing in the semifinals of last year’s Carolinas Four-Ball.
Jonathan Griz of Hilton Head Island, S.C. and Nick Dunlap of Greer, S.C. took down the Medalist team of Clay Watkins and Stephen Lavenets of by a score of 7 & 6 in the Quarterfinals. The junior team of Griz and Dunlap will take on the veteran team of Michael Sims and Garland Ferrell. Sims, the 1998 S.C.Junior Match Play Champion, and Ferrell advanced to the Semifinals by beating the team of Matt Crenshaw and Dustin Moore, 3 & 2.
