US Mid-Amateur Qualifying Results Monroe CC
Qualifiers: Samuel Echikson, Zac Lewis, Cole Isban
MONROE, NC– Final results from U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship Sectional Qualifying hosted by Monroe Country Club in Monroe, NC on Friday, August 24, 2018 (6800 yards, par 36-36—72).
Four qualifying spots and two alternate positions were available at this qualifying site.
Samuel Echikson from Huntersville, NC took home medalist honors and the first qualifying spot with a round of six-under par 66. Zac Lewis from Fuquay-Varina, NC secured the second qualifying spot with a round of four-under par 68. The third qualifying spot went to Cole Isban from Charlotte, NC with a round of three-under par 69. The final qualifying spot came down to a four-for-one playoff and Stefan Brewer from Charlotte, NC got that spot on the second playoff hole.
The two qualifiers will advance to the US Mid-Amateur Championship at Charlotte Country Club and Carolina Golf Club in Charlotte, NC from September 22-27, 2018.
