U.S. Girls' Junior Qualifying Results
from Beech Creek Golf Club in Sumter, S.C.

SUMTER, S.C. (June 21, 2018) -- Final results from U.S. Girls' Junior Qualifying at Beech Creek Golf Club in Sumter, S.C. on June 21, 2018 (6126 yards, par 36-36--72, Course/Slope rating: 73.1/128).

Isabella Rawl of Lexington, S.C. fired a 3-under-par 69 and took home medalist honors at the U.S. Girls' Junior Qualifier at Beech Creek Golf Club. Rawl carded four birdies and an eagle on her first hole to balance out three bogeys on her scorecard. Sophia Burnett of Bluffton, S.C. carded a two-under par 70 in the second group of the day and punched her ticket to the U.S. Girls' Junior Championship. Sophie Guo of Orlando, F.L. and Camila Moreno of Colombia finished at even-par 72 to claim the final two qualifying spots.

Jensen Castle of West Columbia, S.C. is the first alternate. Megan Schofill of Moticello, F.L. is the second alternate.

Four qualifying spots and two alternate positions were available at this qualifying site.

Sectional qualifying is conducted over 18 holes at 40 locations around the country. The championship proper will be held at Poppy Hills Golf Club in Pebble Beach, Calif. on July 16-21, 2018.

This qualifier was conducted by the Carolinas Golf Association on behalf of the United States Golf Association.

About the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA)

The CGA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization that was founded in 1909 to promote and to protect the game of golf in the Carolinas by providing competitions, education, support and benefits to golf clubs and golfers.
