STATESVILLE, NC – Sectional qualifying results of the 37th Carolinas Mid-Amateur Championship hosted by Statesville Country Club on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 (6,677 Yards, Par 36-36—72, (72.3/136).
Chad Wilfong of Charlotte, NC and Chad Frye of Davidson, NC each shot three-under-par to earn medalist honors. Wilfong had four birdies on the day and one bogey en route to a smooth 69. Frye shot a back nine 33, birding both par 5’s, combined with a front nine even par 36.
The cut line fell at 76 as 20 players advanced to the 37th Carolinas Mid-Amateur Championship that will be played April 21-23, 2017 at Providence Country Club in Charlotte, NC.
