US Senior Amateur Qualifying Results

HIGH POINT, NC – Sectional qualifying results of the 2016 US Senior Amateur Championship of the United States Golf Association hosted by High Point Country Club (Willow Creek) in High Point, NC on Monday, August 29, 2016 (6,650 yards, Par 36-36—72, (73.3/139).
Three qualifying spots and two alternate positions were available at this qualifying site.
Nolan Mills, III from Charlotte, NC bested the field by five shots en route to a five-under par 67 to earn medalist honors. In a 5 person playoff for the final two qualifying spots James Pearson from Charlotte, NC birdied the first hole to earn the second spot. Steve Sharpe from Greensboro, NC earned the third playoff spot on the fourth playoff hole.
The US Senior Amateur Championship will be held September 17-22 at Old Warson Country Club in St. Loius, MO.
