BERMUDA RUN, NC – Sectional qualifying results of the 100^th Carolinas Amateur Championship hosted by Bermuda Run Country Club (East) in Bermuda Run, NC on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 (6850 yards, Par 36-36—72, 73.3/136).

The cut line fell at two-over par 74. 12 players advanced to the 100^th Carolinas Amateur Championship that will be played July 10-13 at Greenville Country Club’s Chanticleer course in Greenville, SC.

WEST END, NC (6/16/14) -- The 47th North Carolina Junior Boys' Championship will be held at the Roaring Gap Club in Roaring Gap, NC on June 17-20, 2014.

119 players have qualified for the 2014 NC Junior Boys' Championship. The championship format is match play with an 18 hole stroke play qualifier (on Tuesday, June 17th) to determine the seeding for match play. Jack Nance - I was a walking rules official for Martin Kaymer, Keegan Bradley and Jason Dufner today.  All three played really well, despite the afternoon when things were really drying out.  Kaymer is leading at -5.  

No big rulings today.  However we did have a situation on #5 when Kaymer chipped his ball up to the green and deflected Dufner's ball a few inches away from its original spot.  The rule simply allows Dufner to replace his ball and Kaymer's ball stayed where it came to rest.

Chanticleer's Par 4 9th Hole

Entries for the 100th Carolinas Amateur Championship close on Tuesday, June 10. The championship will be hosted by Greenville Country Club's Chanticleer course in Greenville, SC from July 10-13. The first Carolinas Amateur Championship was held in 1910 at Sans Souci Country Club which is now Greenville Country Club.
