The Carolinas team comprised of 24 players from North and South Carolina lead 21-15 after the first day of four-ball matches against their Virginia-West Virginia's counterparts.

Each match was worth three points in a nassau style format.  Day two matches begin at 8:00am on Tuesday where the format will change to alternate shot.
