(June 15, 2020) – Sectional qualifying results for the 106th Carolinas Amateur Championship hosted by Orangeburg Country Club in Orangeburg, S.C. on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 as a part of the first round of stroke play qualifying for the 48th South Carolina Amateur Match Play Championship (7,032 yards, par 36-36--72).

LENOIR, N.C. (June 17, 2020)  -- Based on the wet conditions of the golf course this morning, we are suspending play of the 24th North Carolina Junior Girls' Championship Stroke Play Qualifying Round today until 10:30 a.m. An update will be sent at 9:30 a.m. The course needs time to recover from the rain overnight and we are hopeful that a break in the rain will help with that process.

LENOIR, N.C. (June 16, 2020) -- Round 1 of the 24th North Carolina Junior Girls’ Championship has been canceled. The remainder of the tournament will have a modified format and schedule. The major modifications to the tournament are reducing stroke play qualifying to 18 holes and cutting to 16 players for match play instead of 32 players. Due to the time constraints of the match play format, the CGA feels that cutting to 16 players provides the best chance to finish the tournament.

Griffin Tarver of Tega Cay, SC earned medalist honors with a score of even par 72.

The cut line fell at three-over par, 75. 6 players advanced to the 106^th Carolinas Amateur Championship that will be played at Cape Fear Country Club in Wilmington, NC from July 9^th-12^th.
