NC Junior Girls' Round 1 Canceled

 

LENOIR, N.C. (June 16, 2020) -- Round 1 of the 24th North Carolina Junior Girls’ Championship has been canceled. The remainder of the tournament will have a modified format and schedule. The major modifications to the tournament are reducing stroke play qualifying to 18 holes and cutting to 16 players for match play instead of 32 players. Due to the time constraints of the match play format, the CGA feels that cutting to 16 players provides the best chance to finish the tournament.

Updated Schedule of Rounds:

 

Wednesday, June 17: 

7:30 a.m. - 18 holes stroke play qualifying

PM start - Round of 16 matches (may be delayed until Thursday morning based on weather)

 

Thursday, June 18: 

8:00 a.m. - Quarterfinal matches (or Round of 16 matches if they are delayed)

PM start - Semifinal matches (or Quarterfinal matches if delayed)

 

Friday, June 19:
8:00 a.m. - Final match (or Semifinal matches if delayed, followed by Final match in the afternoon)
