WEST END, NC (6/2/14) -- The 42nd South Carolina Amateur Match Play Championship will be held at the Seabrook Island Club (Ocean Winds) at Seabrook Island, SC on June 4-8, 2014.

66 players have qualified for the 2014 SC Amateur Match Play Championship. The championship format is 36 holes of stroke play to determine 32 qualifiers for match play. WEST END, NC (6/2/14) -- The 54th North Carolina Amateur Championship will be held at the Carolina Golf Club in Charlotte, NC on June 5-8, 2014.

141 players have qualified for the 2014 NC Amateur Championship. The championship format is 72 holes of stroke play. After 36 holes, the field is cut to the low 60 scorers and ties. Update on the CGA license plate program.

The NC legislature is back in session and Senator Harry Brown will reintroduce our application for a Carolinas Golf Association specialty license plate.

The CGA plate will be part of a larger bill and we hope to have it approved by the end of June.  We do not know at this time which bill it will be attached to, but will pass that along when we hear something.

Once approved, it must be signed by the Governor.  The next day we plan to be at the DMV headquarters in Raleigh with the applications we ha...
