CGA Interclub matches may begin on May 29.

NOTE: All CGA Guidelines and Protocols below must be followed. If it is not possible for your team and club to adhere to the guidelines put forth for safety the CGA will offer full refunds to any clubs that will not be participating in the 2020. Refunds will be given up until May 29th.

 

The Interclub regular season will be extended until September 30. This extension will allow those Clubs that have restrictions on hosting guests through June due to the Covid-19 pandemic to schedule match...


 

CGA and TYGA Tournament Protocols Update (October 9, 2020)

GOLF CARTS: Effective October 12, The CGA will be conducting all tournaments utilizing golf carts with two riders per cart.  Players riding together need to follow mask guidance for that particular state (NC – face-covering required, SC – face-covering highly recommended). Players may still have the option to walk (for same entry fee paid) or withdraw for a full refund.

On the recommendation from our state government health officials and other leaders, the CGA temporarily suspended all CGA related events (including the Interclub Season) through May 28. Therefore, CGA Interclub matches may begin on May 29. Please note this date could change with updated information from our Governors and state leaders prior to the 29th.

SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. (May 11, 2020) – On March 13, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the CGA/TYGA made the decision to postpone or suspend all activities and events ultimately through May 28.  Just as we took a conservative approach in the cancelations of events at the beginning of this pandemic, we will try to do the same as we re-open tournaments.  We now want to take this opportunity to update everyone on our current plans for May 29 and beyond.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (April 29, 2020) –  The HV3 Foundation and the Carolinas Golf Association have announced the inaugural Daniel Meggs Memorial Junior golf tournament.  The tournament will be contested at Providence Country Club in Charlotte, N.C. on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 and will be conducted by the Carolinas Golf Association.  An anticipated field of 84 juniors will compete on the course originally designed by Dan Maples and redesigned by Mike Gleason before architect Kris Spence renovated the course in 2018.
