Carolinas Golf Association Membership
Membership in the Carolinas Golf Association, and the most popular benefit of maintaining a Handicap Index®,  is provided to golfers who are members of a CGA Member Club.  Traditional Clubs and Virtual Clubs are the two main types of CGA Member Clubs. 
 
Traditional Club

Virtual Club

Virtual Clubs - Carolinas eClubs

For golfers who are not a member of a traditional club, we offer membership in a virtual club in the form of a Carolinas eClub.  Membership in a Carolinas eClub provides you the same CGA benefits as being a member of a traditional club.  Membership dues in a Carolinas eClub are $45.00 per year.  Junior golfers ages 18 and under are encouraged to take advantage of a discounted club membership through Youth On Course here. Membership is valid for 365 days from the date of activation.

Registration and Renewals for Carolinas eClubs follow the same quick process…
  1. 1. Select your regional eClub based on where you live
  2. 2. Complete the membership application (renewals will provide past account details)
  3. 3. Complete a Digital Profile/Password (new members)
  4. 4. Access the GHIN app or ghin.com to maintain your Handicap Index

Additional Details on Carolinas eClubs

Carolinas eClubs are a virtual golf club serving as an alternative to joining a green grass club to gain membership in the Carolinas Golf Association.

Eligibility - To be eligible for membership in a Carolinas eClub, you must be a resident or own property in North or South Carolina.  Golfers of any age can join, however junior golfers age 18 and younger are encouraged to gain membership at a discounted rate through a CGA Youth on Course club.  You can find more details on Youth on Course here.

Cost & Time period - The cost of membership is $45 and lasts 365 days. 

Renewals – You will have the option to set up an auto-renewal during your registration process.  In all cases, you will receive a notice via email approximately 7 days prior to your membership expiration or renewal.

Benefits – Membership in a Carolinas eClub includes the following benefits:
  • Use of GHINⓇ products for managing a Handicap IndexⓇ
  • GHIN mobile app for GHIN score posting, stat-tracking, golf course GPS, and more
  • Tournament Eligibility:
    • Members of North Carolina Clubs - CGA tournaments
    • Members of South Carolina Clubs - CGA, WSCGA, and SCGA tournaments
  • Rules of Golf and Rules of Handicapping Consultation
  • Hole in One Club
  • Subscription to the Carolinas Golf, and for South Carolina golfers Palmetto Golfer
  • Member Perks Program
Association Membership – All members of a Carolinas eClub are members of the Carolinas Golf Association.  Additionally, South Carolina residents have a second membership as members of the South Carolina Golf Association.  Female residents of South Carolina have a third membership as members of the Women’s South Carolina Golf Association.
