The Captain’s Putter Matches are an annual competition featuring top amateurs from the VSGA and West Virginia Golf Association playing top amateurs from the Carolinas Golf Association (North and South Carolina). Each team features 14 regulars, eight seniors and two super seniors. T he Captain's Putter Matches are invitation only and players are selected by Men's/Senior Men's Rankings.

Schedule: Day 1: Four-Ball and Fourson Matches.  Day 2: Singles Matches.

Winner: Each match is worth 1 point. Total of 48 points available. Carolinas needs 24 points to retain Captain's Putter. Virginias needs 24 1/2 points to win.

All-Time :  Carolinas leads 49-21-1 all-time in the series.
