U.S. Mid-Amateur Sectional Qualifying Results from Old Chatham Golf Club

DURHAM, NC – Final results from U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship sectional qualifying hosted by Old Chatham Golf Club in Durham, NC on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 (7053 yards, par 36-36—72, Rating: 73.3/129).

Six qualifying spots and two alternate positions were available at this qualifying site. Paul Tucker of Waxhaw, NC and Joe Jaspers of Huntersville, NC both shot four-under par 68 to claim medalist honors.   Jordan Byrd and Scott Patnode both shot 69 to earn the third and fourth positions.  The cut line fell at two-under par 70 with Sherrill Britt earning fifth spot with a birdie on the first playoff hole and Jonathan Jackson earned the final position with a birdie on the fourth playoff hole.

The six qualifiers will advance to the U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship that will be played October 5-10, 2013 at the Country Club of Birmingham in Birmingham, AL.

 This qualifier was conducted by the Carolinas Golf Association on behalf of the United States Golf Association.
