Carolinas Four-Ball Championship Quarterfinal and Semifinal Results

CAMDEN, SC – Quarterfinal and semifinal match play results of the 62^nd Four-Ball Championship of the Carolinas Golf Association hosted by Camden Country Club in Camden, SC on Saturday, May 4, 2013 (6421 yards, par 35-35—70, 71.6/128).

Paul Tucker of Waxhaw, NC and Brent Roof of Columbia, SC avenged last year’s loss in the championship match by defeating the defending champions, Matthew Crenshaw and Blair Bowland of Burlington, NC with a 4 and 3 victory in the semifinals to advance to Sunday’s championship match.

Awaiting them in then final is number one ranked amateur in the Carolinas, Scott Harvey of Greensboro, NC and number 11 ranked Brian Westveer of Charlotte, NC. They defeated former Clemson standouts Michael Sims of West Columbia, SC and Gregg Jones of Florence, SC by a 3 and 2 score in their semifinal match.

Due to forecasted rain, the 18-hole championship match is scheduled for a 7:30am start on Sunday.

This championship is conducted by the Carolinas Golf Association which is its 104^th year of serving amateur golf in the Carolinas.
