Congratulations to the 2020 CGAcers Winners
SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. (February 8, 2021) -- 132 applications were submitted to the CGAcers club for holes-in-one made in 2020. The average distance of those reported was 133 yards. The longest ace recorded was 207 yards by Jared Shingledecker from Davidson, N.C. Jared made this incredible shot on No. 3 at Pine Hollow Golf Club in Clayton, N.C. on March 27, 2020. The shortest aces, 77 yards, were made by Ellen Leslie from Southern Pines, N.C. on No. 3 of the Longleaf Golf & Family Club in Southern Pines, N.C. and, Denice Short from Raleigh, N.C. on No. 12 of Wildwood Green Golf Club in Raleigh, N.C.

Once again, Wildwood Green Golf Club in Raleigh, N.C. reported the most 2020 holes-in-one with 20. Of those, six were made on Hole No. 12, five on Hole No. 4, five on Hole No. 6 and four on Hole No. 17.
After sharing third in 2019, Seven Lakes Golf Club in West End, N.C. and Ocean Ridge Plantation in Ocean Isle Beach, N.C. move up to share second place, each with 10 reported holes-in-one in the last year. The breakdown of holes-in-one made at the various Ocean Ridge Plantation courses is one at Leopard’s Chase, six at Panther’s Run and three at Tiger’s Eye.
Players reporting the significant accomplishment of two holes-in-one in a calendar year was down from three in 2019 to one in 2020. Denice Short of Raleigh, N.C. was the only CGA Member to report two holes-in-one, both at Wildwood Green Golf Club (No. 12, 77 yards, 52° Wedge on July 18, 2020) and (No. 4, 104 yards, 8 Iron on October 2, 2020).
The Carolinas Golf Association is pleased to announced the winners of the 2020 CGAcer Hole-in-One Club Contest. CGA members who made a hole-in-one in 2020, carry a USGA/CGA handicap and submitted an application were eligible. This year’s prizes for the annual drawing includes:

Join the fun! If you are a CGA member who makes a hole-in-one in 2021, let us know.
The CGA will be awarding prizes again for 2021. The random drawing will take place on or before January 30, 2022. All hole-in-one forms must be received at the CGA office no later than January 15, 2022. The CGAcer hole-in-one form is available on our website and must be completed and submitted for eligibility. The hole-in-one must be scored from January 1 through December 31, 2021. Your name will be entered for each hole-in-one made in 2021. You must be a current CGA member and carry a USGA/CGA handicap to be eligible. CGA Staff, executive committee members and their families are ineligible. Prizes will change annually.
The CGAcers Hole-in-One program is one of many services offered by the Carolinas Golf Association.
About the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA)
The CGA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization that was founded in 1909 to promote and to protect the game of golf in the Carolinas by providing competitions, education, support and benefits to golf clubs and golfers.
