Final Results of the U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur Sectional Qualifying in Pinehurst, NC

Pinehurst, NC – Final results of the U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship Sectional Qualifying hosted by Pinewild Country Club (Magnolia Course) on Monday, July 21, 2014.  Par 36-36—72 6088 yards  Course/Slope Rating:  73.8/135.

Four players earn their way to the U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship after battling wet and rainy conditions most of the day.  After a three hour delay Julie Streng of Greensboro, NC was able to shoot a 2-over par round of 74 to capture medalist honors.  Other qualifiers include Patty Moore of Charlotte, NC (76); Debbie Adams of Asheville, NC (78) and Kay Daniel of Covington, La (78). 

First alternate is Susan Beaupied of Raleigh, NC (79).

The national championship will be contested at Harbour Trees Golf Club in Noblesville, IN on September 6-11, 2014.  For more information on this qualifier and the U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship please visit www.carolinasgolf.org or www.usga.org.
