41st SC Amateur Match Play First Round stroke play qualifying results

CLINTON, SC – First round stroke play qualifying results of the 41st South Carolina Amateur Match Play Championship of the Carolinas Golf Association hosted by Musgrove Mill Golf Club in Clinton, SC on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 (6884 yards, par 36-36—72, 74.4/147).
 
Laurens, SC native Walter Todd, Sr. fired a bogey free score of 65 to lead after Round 1.  His squeaky clean scorecard featured birdies on 2, 4, 9, 12, 13, 14, and 16.
 
Defending champion, Matthew Laydon of Charleston, SC is exempt into the match play portion of the championship and will be the number one seed.
 
After 36 holes the field of 102 players will be cut to the low 31 players for match play and be seeded 2-32.
