Three-Peat for Gary and Lauren Robinson at Carolinas Parent-Child
WHISPERING PINES, NC – Final results of the 16th Carolinas Parent-Child Championship of the Carolinas Golf Association hosted by the Country Club of Whispering Pines in Whispering Pines, NC on Friday, July 26, 2013 (Par 36-36—72, 6035 yards).
2011 and 2012 champion Gary Robinson and Lauren Robinson of Fayetteville, NC made it three straight wins by carding an eight-under 64 to finish four shots ahead of Chris and Danielle Haizlip of Statesville, NC.
“We both kept the ball in play all day,” stated Gary Robinson. “We had choices of drives to select and had good yardages which led to a lot of looks at birdie putts.”
The win marks the fourth CGA championship title for the 54-year-old Gary Robinson (2007 North Carolina Mid-Amateur, 2011-12 Carolinas Parent-Child) and the third title for 30-year-old Lauren Robinson (2011-13 Carolinas Parent-Child).

Teams are placed into divisions by adding 2/3 of the low handicap plus 1/3 of the high handicap.
