The Mimosa Hills Country Club Board of Directors and the Carolinas Golf Association have announced the inaugural Mimosa Hills Junior Invitational. The event will be a 54-hole stroke play tournament for junior male and female golfers from North Carolina and South Carolina who are between the ages of 14 – 18 who have not finished high school. The tournament will be played in a college-style format with 36-holes being played on day one and 18-holes on day two. Invitational will be contested August 29-30, 2020 at Mimosa Hill Country Club in Morganton, NC.
An anticipated field of 88 golfers will compete on the Donald Ross designed course that opened for play in 1929. Donald Ross, the famed Scottish-born golf course architect, created Mimosa Hills taking painstaking advantage of Morganton, North Carolina's natural beauty and phenomenal panoramic Blue Ridge Mountain views. Ranked as one of the top golf facilities in the Carolinas, Mimosa Hills is an old-style layout that is second to none in golf hole charisma. Mimosa Hills has been the site of U.S. Open Sectional Qualifying, U.S. Amateur Qualifying, the Carolinas Open, the North Carolina Women’s & Men’s Amateur, the North Carolina Girls & Boys Junior, the Carolinas Junior, the N.C. Women's Senior, and the Carolinas Mid-Am Championship. Mimosa Hills also hosted the United States Hickory Open in 2008, 2009 and 2010.

FIELD SIZE
88 players with boys' field limited to 60 players and girls field limited to 28 players.
YARDAGES
Boys will play from approximately 6,755 yards par 72.
Girls will play from approximately 5,810 yards par 72.
ELIGIBILITY
Entry is open to invited male and female junior golfers who are residents of North Carolinas or South Carolina, are between the ages of 14 and 18 and who have not finished high school.

INVITATIONS
Players will earn their invitation to participate through select CGA/SCGA/WSCGA/CPGA tournaments.
