Kelli Murphy of Elgin, SC Shoots 71 to Earn Medalist Honors

2011 Carolinas Junior Girls Champion, Kelli Murphy of Elgin, SC fired a 1-under par round of 71 to take medalist honors. Murphy carded two birdies and one bogey on the day. “I hit my irons really well today, but left some putts out there today. It could have been a really good day,” Murphy said.
Murphy looks to take home her second CGA title in two years. Murphy will be seeded no.1 and will face-off against Chandler Danielson of Etowah, NC. Defending champion, Lucia Polo of Greensboro, NC is not entered into this years championship. Carly Burkhardt of Greenville, SC will be seeded no. 2 for match play while recent SC Junior Girls Stroke Play Champion will be the no. 3 seed.
Chandler Danielson of Etowah, NC won the last championship spot in a sudden death playoff. All other players will be placed into flights and will play at match play for the duration of the championship.
Matches will begin at 8:00am off #1 tee.
