57th Carolinas Junior Girls Championship at Wyboo Golf Club in Manning, SC, June 25-27, 2013

WEST END, NC -- The Carolinas Golf Association's 57th Carolinas Junior Girls Championship is set for June 25-27 at Wyboo Golf Club in Manning, S.C.

Entry is open to any female amateur golfer who has not reached her 19th birthday by June 27, 2013, who has not started college, who is a legal resident of North Carolina or South Carolina, who is a member in good standing of a club which is a member of the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA) and who has a current USGA handicap index® at a CGA member club.

The championship opens with 18 holes of stroke-play qualifying to determine flights and seeding.  The championship-flight will be comprised of the low 16 qualifiers.  All other flights will have eight players.  Girls aged 12 and under can play in the sub-junior flight, which will consist of a nine-hole qualifier and nine-hole matches.

Favorites for the title include Reona Hirai of Summerville, the South Carolina junior girls stroke-play champion; and Maddison Moosa of Charlotte, who won the CGA-conducted Vicki DiSantis Junior Girls title in May.

Wyboo Golf Club’s course is a 1999 Tom Jackson signature course.  The venue also hosted the 2005 CGA South Carolina Junior (boys) championship.
