US Amateur Qualifying - Carolina GC

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (June 27, 2023) -- Final results from U.S. Amateur Qualifying at Carolina Golf Club in Charlotte, N.C. on Tuesday, June 27, 2023. (6,982 yards, par 71).

Two qualifying spots and two alternate spots were available at this qualifying site.

Charlie Barr of Salisbury, N.C. won medalist honors with rounds of six-under-par 65 and one-over-par 72 to finish at five-under-par 137. Joshua Martin of Pinehurst, N.C. shot a first round four-under-par 67 and a second round one-over-par 72 to finish at three-under-par 139 and claim the second qualifying position. Paul Fitzgerald of Charlotte, N.C. shot even-par 71 and two-under-par 69 to finish at 140 and will be the first alternate. Addison Beam of Cherryville, N.C. won the second alternate position over Avery Price of Georgetown, S.C. in a playoff after both finished at one-under-par 141.

The qualifiers will advance to play in the championship at Cherry Hills Country Club in Cherry Hills, Colorado from August 14-20.
