SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. (July 15, 2021) -- Final results from 2021 U.S. Senior Women's Open Qualifying at Country Club of Salisbury in Salisbury, NC on Thursday, July 15, 2021 (5,775 yards, par 35-36--71, Course/Slope rating: 74.1/128).
Sarah Ingram of Nashville, T.N. earned Medalist and low amateur honors at the U.S. Senior Women's Open Qualifier hosted by Country Club of Salisbury after carding a 2-over-par 73. Ingram was steady throughout her round, recording only 4 bogeys on the day. Ingram is a 3-time U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur Champion and the recent champion of the Ladies' National Golf Association Senior Amateur Championship. Ingram is no stranger to the national amateur stage having achieved a runner-up finish at the U.S. Women's Amateur (1993), low amateur honors at the U.S. Women's Open (1995), wins at the U.S. Women's Mid- Amateur (1991, 1993, 1994) and serving as Captain of the USA 2020 Curtis Cup team.
Kimberly Williams, a professional from Franklin, T.N. and Sue Ginter, a professional from Jupiter, F.L. claimed the remaining two qualifying spots.
Veronica Karaman of Pinehurst, N.C. claimed the first alternate position. After a one-hole playoff, Jayne Pardus of Mt. Pleasant, S.C. claimed the second alternate position.
Three qualifying spots and two alternate positions were available at this qualifying site.
The championship proper will be held at Brooklawn Country Club in Fairfield, C.T. on July 29-August 1, 2021.
This qualifier was conducted by the Carolinas Golf Association on behalf of the United States Golf Association.

About the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA)
The CGA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization that was founded in 1909 to promote and to protect the game of golf in the Carolinas by providing competitions, education, support and benefits to golf clubs and golfers.
