Get To Know The 2019 CGA Interns: Amanda Kelley
Amanda Kelley - CGA Operations Intern (Bridgewater, VA)
My name is Amanda Kelley and I am currently a senior at Bridgewater College studying Communication and Business Administration. I play on the women’s golf team at Bridgewater, have won two conference championships, and when I was in high school I played in the state championships for three years in a row. Since I have been in college I worked two summers as a golf shop attendant at Cedar Point Country Club in Suffolk, Virginia and for the summer of 2018 I interned with the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour in Atlanta, running junior tournaments all over the southern part of the country.
While golf is my passion I love all sports and talk about them on my regular segment on our school’s radio broadcast every month. Traveling is something I love to do and have been to countries throughout Europe and the Caribbean, I love to learn about new cultures, and meeting new people. A fun fact about myself is that I have flown a plane from Newport News, Virginia to the Outer Banks and back.
