Results: Super Senior Four-Ball One-Day TOC

SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. -- Final results from the Carolinas Golf Association’s Senior Four-Ball One-Day Tournament of Champions at Barefoot Resort in North Myrtle Beach, S.C. on November 27 & 28.  Gross scores are listed.

Alan Dirk and Ron Mambu Overall Gross Winners (65+)

The Tournament of Champions crowns overall gross and net winners.  The team of Alan Dirk, Pittsboro, N.C. / Ron Mambu, Naperville, IL won the overall gross title in the Super Senior 65+ Division with a two round total of 4-under par, 139.  The net overall title in the Super Senior 65+ Division went to the team of David Holland, Forest City, N.C. / Don Blanton, Flat Rock, N.C. with a two round total of 16-under par, 128. The team of Stephen Preston, Charlotte, N.C. / Terry Rathman, Gastonia, N.C. won the overall gross title in the Super Senior 75+ Division with a two round total of 3-under par, 140.  The net overall title in the Super Senior 75+ Division went to the team of Ben Payne, Greensboro, N.C. / Travis Jones, Greensboro, N.C. with a two round total of 17-under par, 126.

Tournament format is 36 holes of four-ball stroke play, both gross and net.  90 percent of a player's course handicap is used to determine net scores. Entry is open to any male amateur golfer who has reached his 65th birthday by the tournament date, is a member of a club which is a member of the Carolinas Golf Association, and has a current USGA Handicap Index® at a CGA member club. The field is divided into divisions based on age and total team course handicap.
