SANFORD, NC (August 30, 2018) – Sectional qualifying results of the 57th Carolinas Senior Amateur Championship hosted by Carolina Trace Country Club (Lake) in Sanford, NC on Thursday, August 30, 2018 (6,300 Yards, Par 36-36—76).
Tom Dutton, from Leland, NC shot a round of three-over par, 75 to take home medalist honors.
Mike Wilson of Ocean Isle Beach, NC slam dunked his golf ball in one shot on the par 3, 8th hole. Mike hit a 6-iron on the 168 yard hole for this fourth career Ace.
The cut line fell at 10-over par. 19 players advanced to the 57th Carolinas Senior Amateur Championship that will be played at The Golf Club at Briar’s Creek in Johns Island, SC from September 13-15, 2018.
