THOMASVILLE, NC– Final results from U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship Sectional Qualifying hosted by Colonial Country Club in Thomasville, NC on Monday, August 20, 2018 (6809 yards, par 36-35—71).

Four qualifying spots and two alternate positions were available at this qualifying site.

Jerry Richardson Jr. from Cary, NC and Clay Holland of Greensboro, NC earned medalist honors with rounds of three-under par, 68. Chad Wilfong of Charlotte, NC earned his way with a two-under par, 69. Sherrill Britt of West End, NC won a five-man play-off to earn the final qualifying spot.

Bailey Patrick from Charlotte, NC was first alternate and Skip Corneliussen from Summerfield, NC was second alternate.
