CGA Mid-Amateur Minimum Age Will Lower to 25

SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. (November 6, 2018) -- To align with the United States Golf Association and other states in our region, the Carolinas Golf Association will lower the minimum age for men’s mid-amateur events from 30 to 25 beginning in 2018. This change will affect eligibility for the North Carolina Mid-Amateur and Carolinas Mid-Amateur championships.  

Other associations’ men’s mid-amateur age requirement:

USGA - 25
South Carolina - 25
Virginia - 25
Georgia - 25
Tennessee - 25
Alabama - 25
Florida - 25
Texas - 25
Maryland - 25
