SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. (September 18, 2017) -- The Carolinas Golf Association (CGA) will conduct the 10thNorth Carolina Super Senior Championship at Hendersonville Country Club in Hendersonville, N.C. from September 25-26.
This championship is conducted at 36 holes of stroke play. Entry is open to any male amateur golfer, age 65 and older, who is a legal resident of North Carolina, is a member in good standing of a club which is a member of the Carolinas Golf Association and has an active GHIN® USGA Handicap Index®. Players may sign up for the 65+ or 70+ age division.

Playing in his first N.C. Super Senior last year at Kinston Country Club, the top-ranked senior amateur in the Carolinas, Paul Simson of Raleigh, won by 10 strokes. Arlis Pike of Kernersville and Dee Blankenhorn of Raleigh were the only other players to finish under par for the tournament. Both finished at one-under 141 and tied for second. Charlie Parks of Asheboro of finished in solo fourth after posting two rounds of even par 71.
