Top Players in 13th Dogwood Junior Girls'
SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. (August 4, 2017) -- The Carolinas Golf Association's 13th Dogwood State Girls' Junior Championship will take place August 8-10 at Pinewood Country Club in Asheboro N.C. 37 girls will compete for the title.
The Dogwood State Girls' Junior Championship format is 54 holes of stroke play. All competitors will compete in one division and play from 6,028 yards. The champion will be invited to represent the CGA in the Mid-Atlantic
Challenge Junior Girls’ Team Matches in 2018.

Players to Watch:
Madison Isaacson of Greensboro is 12th in the North Carolina Junior Rankings, the best in the field. Isaacson won the TYGA High Point Junior with scores of 71-73--144. Last week, she finished 12th at the Carolinas Junior Girls' Championship. She also made it to the round of 16 at the North Carolinas Junior Girls Championship and recorded top-10 finishes at the Amino Vital Junior and the Carolinas PGA Junior Championship.
Hailey Joy of Reidsville is ranked the 13th-best girls' junior golfer in NC. She qualifying for the U.S. Girls Junior Championship and recently won the Dan Dobson Junior after carding a round of five-under-par 67. T-5 at the CGA Twin State Junior Girls' Championship and made it to the round of 16 at the North Carolina Junior Girls Championship. top-15 at the Vicki DiSantis Junior Girls' Championship.
Sophie Holland of Cornelius recently moved up eight spots to 22nd in the NC Junior Rankings. Holland acquired a third place finish Carolinas Girls' 15 and under Championship. Also, she made it to the round of 16 at the North Carolina Junior Girls Championship and finished at even-par in stroke play qualifying portion. In addition, she secured a top-15 finish at the Vicki DiSantis Junior Girls Championship and finished T-5 in the North Carlota Trusted Choice "Big I" Girls Championship.
Katherine Schuster of Kill Devil Hills is the 26th ranked junior girls' golfer in NC and won the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour College Prep with scores of 72-74--146. Last week, she finished 10th at the Carolinas Junior Girls'. She also finished T-6 at the Carolinas Women's Amateur Championship and T-7 at the Vicki DiSantis Junior Girls Championship. Also, she made it to the Round of 16 at the North Carolina Junior Girls.

Eligibility: Entry is open to any female amateur golfer ages 12 to 18 as of August 10, 2017, who has not started college, is a legal resident of North Carolina, is a member in good standing of a club which is a member of the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA) and has a current USGA Handicap Index® at a CGA member club that does not exceed 18.3.
