U.S. Open Local Q Pinewild Results
PINEHURST, NC – Final results from U.S. Open Championship Local Qualifying hosted by Pinewild Country Club (Magnolia) in Pinehurst, NC on Monday, May 18, 2015 (7300 yards, par 36-36—72, Course/Slope Rating: 75.9/138).
Five qualifying spots and two alternate positions were available at this qualifying site.
Travis Bertoni of Spring, TX carded a six-under par 66 to take medalist honors. There was a five-for-two playoff at 69 for the last qualifying positions. James Chapman of Raleigh, NC and Ryan Nelson of Charleston, SC birdied the first playoff hole to claim the spots.
The five qualifiers advanced to sectional qualifying that will be played at 12 sites located throughout the U.S. (10 sites) and internationally in England (1) and Japan (1).

About the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA)
The CGA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization that was founded in 1909 to promote and to protect the game of golf in the Carolinas by providing competitions, education, support and benefits to golf clubs and golfers. The CGA is the second largest golf association in the country with over 700 member clubs represented by nearly 150,000 individuals.
Now in its 106th year, the CGA annually conducts 43 championships and five team match competitions for men, women, juniors, and seniors. It also runs over 140 One-Day (net and gross) events and qualifying for USGA national championships. The CGF has distributed more than $1,500,000 since 1977 to benefit Carolinas' golf initiatives including junior and women's programs.
