ROCK HILL, SC (October 10, 2016) – First round results of the 5th Carolinas Super Senior Four-Ball Championship at Rock Hill Country Club in Rock Hill, SC on Monday, October 10, 2016.

Four teams sit atop the Carolinas Super Senior Four-Ball after round one. Partners Bob Desjardins of Matthews, NC – Bill Boles, Jr of Wilson, NC join Charlie Parks of Asheboro, NC – Arlis Pike of Kernersville, NC, Russ Perry from Winston-Salem, NC – Mark Stephens from Troutman, NC and Bob Klug from Pinehurst, NC – Vance Whicker from Summerfield, NC all shot three-under par 69. A host of other teams sit one shot back and 14 teams are within three shots of the lead. Defending champions, and the only team to ever win the Carolinas Super Senior Four-Ball Championship, partners Jim Pridgen of Jamestown, N.C. and Ernie Newton of Winston-Salem, N.C. sit three shots back of the lead after shooting even-par 72.
The final round is set for a 9:00am shotgun start Tuesday morning at Rock Hill Country Club.
Entry is open to any male amateur golfer who has reached his 65th birthday by October 10, 2016 and is a legal resident of North Carolina or South Carolina, is a member in good standing of a club which is a member of the Carolinas Golf Association and has an active USGA Handicap Index® at a CGA member club.
