ASHEBORO, N.C. – Second round results of the 15th North Carolina Senior Four-Ball Championship hosted by Pinewood Country Club in Asheboro, N.C. on Thursday, August 13, 2015 (6358 yards, par 36-36—72, 71.3/132).
Keith Waters of Raleigh - Gary Robinson of Fayetteville fired a six-under 66 to take a one shot lead at 131 (-13) heading into Friday’s final round.
Close on their heels is round one co-leaders Rick Luzar of Pinehurst - Dean Channell who carded a five-under 65 to stand at 132 (-12).
Defending champions Mark Stephens of Troutman - Russ Perry of Winston-Salem posted a three-under 69 (137) and moved up into a tie for 8th place.
The average score in round two was only 1/10th stroke higher than round one at 71.4.
The championship is contested over 54-holes of four-ball stroke play. The field of 69 teams was cut to the low 30 scores and ties for the final round. Cutline fell at two-under 142 with 34 teams advancing to the final round.

The North Carolina Senior Four-Ball Championship is open to any male amateur golfer who has reached his 55th birthday by August 12, is a resident of North Carolina, is a member in good standing of a club which is a member of the Carolinas Golf Association and has an active USGA Handicap Index® at a CGA member club.

About the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA)
The CGA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization that was founded in 1909 to promote and to protect the game of golf in the Carolinas by providing competitions, education, support and benefits to golf clubs and golfers. The CGA is the second largest golf association in the country with over 700 member clubs represented by nearly 150,000 individuals.

The CGF has distributed more than $1,500,000 since 1977 to benefit Carolinas' golf initiatives including junior and women's programs.
