SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. (Nov. 18, 2015) -- The Carolinas Golf Association today announced the selection of Dean Cassell and John Harris as 2016 inductees into the Carolinas Golf Hall of Fame. An induction ceremony honoring Cassell and Harris will take place on Feb. 11, 2016, at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, N.C.

The 18th Carolinas Interclub concluded this past week-end with the Semi-Finals (Saturday) and Championship Match (Sunday). The final four teams met at the Grandover Resort (East course) in Greensboro, NC to crown the 2015 Interclub Champion.

Following regular season play (April thru August) involving 79 teams from CGA member clubs in both North and South Carolina, single elimination playoff competition began in late August with a record 54 teams earning a playoff spot. Two teams vie for the 2015 Carolinas Interclub Championship Sunday, November 15 at Grandover Resort in Greensboro, NC.

In the North Region final, Pinehurst No. 1-6 face defeated Umstead Pines Golf & CC 10-8 in a very tight match.

In the South Region final, River Hills CC took the rubber match against Rock Hill CC 12-6 in their third meeting this year.

River Hills Country Club from Lake Wylie, SC looks to win their fourth Interclub crown while Pinehurts No. 1-6 looks to win their first.

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Final results from the Carolinas Golf Association’s Senior Four-Ball One-Day Tournament of Champions at Grandover Resort in Greensboro, N.C. on Wednesday, November 11, 2015.  Gross scores are listed.

SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. -- The “Final 4” field is set. The two remaining quarterfinal matches played Sunday resulted in Pinehurst Country Club #1-6 defeating Mountain Aire GC (West Jefferson, NC) 11-7 while Rock Hill Country Club  took down Tega Cay GC#1 (Tega Cay, SC) 12 to 6.

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Due to heavy rains at Grandover Resort, the first round of the Senior Four-Ball Tournament of Champions has been cancelled on Tuesday, November 10.

The player’s reception will still be held on Tuesday, November 10 in the Griffin Room at Grandover Resort from 5:00pm-7:30pm.

The second round will be played as scheduled on Wednesday, November 11 with a 10:00am shotgun start.
